Which files do you need for manufacturing?

For precise manufacturing in a digital workflow, we always need the "complete package" from your CAD system: The STL file (the pure geometry). The metadata is mandatory: For exocad, this is the .constructioninfo file , for 3Shape it is the .implantposition file . Important: Please do not rename the files after exporting, otherwise our system will not recognize the link between the design and parameters.

What do I do if my scanbody manufacturer is not on the list?

Accepted Answer

We can process almost all common systems. Please simply enter the manufacturer and system name in the free text field. Our technicians will check whether the appropriate library is available before production starts.

Question 3

Why is the .constructioninfo file so important?

Accepted Answer

This file contains the "intelligence" of your design. Without it, we lack information about the cement gap, the insertion direction, or the exact interface geometry of implants. Without this data, we cannot guarantee the fit.

Question 4

Can I rename my files so I can find them more easily?

Accepted Answer

Please don't! Our CAM software in the milling center automatically matches the filenames of the STL files and the metadata. If you rename a file (e.g., to "Müller_Regio_16"), this chain breaks, and we have to manually stop the order and contact you.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?

It usually takes 2-3 business days for you to receive your order. We strive to deliver it to you as quickly as possible.

Can I also use "DD Bio ZW ISO color" for inlays?

Accepted Answer

No. This zirconia is optimized for maximum stability in frameworks and high-load restorations (telescopes/abutments). For inlays, veneers, or fully anatomical crowns, please choose our highly esthetic multilayer materials (e.g., DD cubeY HL).

Are the frameworks made of "Bio ZW ISO color" suitable for ceramic veneering?

Yes, absolutely. It was specifically developed as a base for the classic layering technique. Thanks to the ISO colors, you have an ideal color base for your veneering.

Can I include a third-party adhesive base (Ti-Base)?

Accepted Answer

For product safety and warranty reasons, we only use original DD components . Please select "Include Ti-Base" during the ordering process so that we can include the technically compatible base directly.

Question 12

How do you know if I need a "2-Lock" or "No-Lock" adhesive base?

Accepted Answer

We extract this information directly from your uploaded design data. You don't need to specify this separately – we automatically deliver the component on which you created your digital design.

Question 13

What happens if I choose "Design & Manufacturing"?

Accepted Answer

In this case, we only need your intraoral scan or model scan. Our experienced dental technicians will design the restoration according to your specifications. You will receive a design for approval before production (optional).

Question 14

Do I need to specify the implant system if I'm only having the implant milled?

Accepted Answer

If you send us finished design data, the system is already embedded in the file. However, if you use our design service , specifying the system, diameter, and scan body is mandatory.
